Under the direction of fourth-year Head Coach Dave Stubbs, the Olivet College men’s swimming and diving team edged Hope College to capture the 2007 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship Feb. 8-10 at the Jenison High School Aquatic Center. In addition, the Comet women’s swimming and diving team finished in fourth-place at the MIAA Championships. Olivet tallied 254 points. Calvin won its third straight championship with 675.5 points, followed by Hope (493.5) and Kalamazoo (290).
The Olivet College women’s swimming and diving team moved up one spot and now stands in fourth-place at the 2007 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships. The Comets have 166.5 points and trail Kalamazoo College by 30.5 points. Defending champion Calvin College is first with 454.5 points.
The Olivet College women’s swimming and diving team is in fifth-place after the first day of the 2007 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships at the Jenison High School Aquatic Center. The Comets have 70.5 points. Albion and Kalamazoo colleges are tied for third with 73 points. Calvin leads the way with 240.5 points.
The Olivet College women’s swimming and diving team took first-place in nine events and defeated Alma College, 155-86, this afternoon at the McClure Natatorium in Alma.
The Olivet College women’s swimming team won nine-of-13 events en route to a 147-94 win against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Albion College today at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet.
