The Olivet College women’s swimming and diving team split a non-conference double dual meet today at Hillsdale College. The Comets beat Ohio Northern University, 72-41, and fell to the host Chargers, 63-48.

Olivet had four first-place finishes, including Courtney Mich (Bay City/Western) sweeping the diving events. She won the one-meter dive with 212.78 points and three-meter dive with a career-best 213.83 points.
Kalee Redder (Grandville/Jenison) clocked-in first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of :26.21 seconds. Redder along with Laura Herzog (St. Joseph), Amy Johnson (Gaylord) and Jackie Taylor (Plainwell) touched the wall first in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:47.67.
Herzog and Johnson each had a pair of second-place finishes. Herzog was second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:42.76) and 1,000-yard freestyle (11:39.34). Johnson finished as runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle (:54.98) and 200-yard freestyle (2:02.35). Also finishing in second was freshman Bryenna Richards (Jenison) in the 200-yard individual medley (2:20.01).
The Comets are back in action next Saturday, Nov. 18, when they host Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Albion College at 1 p.m.
