KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Olivet College junior Caitlin Lohr (Holland/Hamilton) competed in three events at the 2011 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, which was held March 23-26 at the University of Tennessee.
Lohr narrowly missed qualifying for the finals in the 50 freestyle. Out of 55 swimmers, her time of 23.87 seconds was 19th fastest and just six one-hundredths off the time needed to advance.
Lohr also failed to make the finals in the 100 and 200 freestyle. She completed the 100 free in 2:00.45. The time was the fourth-fastest in school history and the fastest since Amy Johnson broke the school record at the 2009 MIAA Championships.
