FREELAND, Mich. – Eight Olivet College athletic teams have received the 2020-21 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Team GPA award. This award is presented annually to the conference teams who post a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year.
A school-record 171 Olivet College student-athletes have earned 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll honors.
Thirteen Olivet College athletic teams have garnered 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Team GPA honors. This honor is presented annually to the conference teams who have a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams are one of 461 programs to receive College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team honors for the 2020 spring semester.
Nine Olivet College student-athletes were recently recognized by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education as a 2020 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar for their dedication to academics and athletics. Olivet’s honorees are Riley Bennett, Griffin Hammond, Liam Kinjorski, Kea Kunz, Karina Marin, Cameron Ramos, Yul Snell, Samantha Torres and Rachel Webb. Hammond, Kunz, Snell and Torres also earned this honor in 2019. To view the complete list of honorees, click here. NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams combined to post a 5-1 record in a non-conference triple dual meet today at the Strauss-Peabody Aquatic Center in North Manchester, Indiana. The Comet men beat all three schools, Manchester (Ind.) Anderson (Ind.) and Urbana (Ohio). The Comet women defeated Manchester and Urbana.
ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams lost 156-73 and 163-57 to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this evening at the Dean Aquatic Center.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams received Scholar All-America Team honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2019 fall semester.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving team were swept in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA double dual meet this afternoon at the Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids. The Comet men fell to Calvin University, 141-81, and Kalamazoo College, 153-85. The Olivet women suffered a 166-49 loss to Calvin and 178-44 loss to Kalamazoo.
The Olivet College women’s swimming & diving team beat Bethel (Ind.) University, 115-82, in a non-conference dual meet on Senior Day today at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams competed in the three-day Carthage Classic, held inside the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Highlighting the meet was the first-place performance by the men's 200-yard medley relay.
