Women’s swimming & diving team beats Aquinas, 104-70
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s swimming & diving team kicked-off its 2021-22 season with a 104-70 victory over Aquinas College this afternoon at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's swimming & diving team kicked-off its 2021-22 season with a 104-70 victory over Aquinas College this afternoon at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet.
- Olivet posted the fastest time in seven individual events and both relays.
- Freshman Mya Kinnunen, sophomore Jennifer Mann, senior Kayla Eichaker and junior Kennedy Karns won the 200-yard medley relay in 2:00.54.
- Mann took first-place in the 1,000-yard freestyle at 10:54.12. She also helped the Comets place 1-2 in the 500-yard freestyle. Her time was 5:17.81, followed by sophomore Kinsley Noel at 6:00.70.
- Noel touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.04) and 100-yard freestyle (1:00.00).
- Eichaker captured first-place in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.20 seconds.
- Karns clocked-in first in the 200-yard individual medley at 2:40.54.
- Kinnunen led a 1-2 Comet finish in the 100-yard backstroke. Her winning time was 1:09.88, followed by freshman Jordan Kruskie at 1:14.26.
- Eichaker, Karns, Noel and Mann had the quickest-time in the 200-yard freestyle relay at 1:48.48.
- The Comets head to Grand Rapids next Friday, October 22, for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Relays at Calvin University. Action from the Venema Aquatic Center gets under way at 5 p.m.
