UOlivet loses to Kalamazoo

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's and women's swimming teams fell to Kalamazoo College in non-conference dual meets tonight at the Upton Center Pool. The men lost 134-30, while the women were defeated 136-28. Before the meet, the Comets recognized seniors Matthew Brown and Kelsee Lawson who swam in their final home meet.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Sophomore Bethany Stowell touched first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.43) and second in the 100-yard individual medley (1:08.55).
- Junior Sophia Spahr finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:59.39).
- Lawson placed third in the 100-yard butterfly (1:14.99).
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Freshman Efrem Masterson won both the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:17.30) and 100-yard freestyle (54.19).
- Brown was first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.21) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:34.38).
UP NEXT
- The Comets compete at the Malone (Ohio) University Invitational next Thursday-Saturday, November 20-22. The three-day meet is at the CT Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio.
