Women’s tennis team falls to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, 6-3

The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, 6-3, this afternoon in Hilton Head, S.C.

The Comets (2-3) recorded wins at three singles matches. At the No. 1 position, junior Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville) remained perfect on the season with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Junior Jaime Morrison (Marshall) won by an identical 6-1, 6-1 score at the No. 5 position. At No. 6, junior Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) gained a three-set victory, 6-0, 4-6, 6-2.

Olivet is back in action Sunday, March 19, when it participates in the Tri-State University Doubles Classic at Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek.
