Vilums named to All-MIAA second-team

Olivet College junior Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville) was named to the All-MIAA second-team at the conclusion of the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Tennis Championships. Vilums also earned All-MIAA second-team honors in 2005.

Playing at the No. 1 singles flight, Vilums earned the fourth seed at the MIAA Championships and finished in fifth-place. During the regular season, she had a 12-5 record, including a 4-3 mark against MIAA competition. Vilums opened the 2006 season with eight straight wins. In doubles play, she had two different partners in the No. 1 flight and posted an 11-6 record.
