Women’s tennis team falls to Bridgewater, 7-2

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Olivet College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Bridgewater (Va.) College this afternoon in Hilton Head, S.C. With the loss, the Comets' record stands at 2-2.
The Comets won one match each in singles and doubles play. At No. 3 singles, junior Kelsey Singer (Brooklyn/Columbia Central) improved to 4-0 on the season after posting a straight set win, 6-0, 6-3. Juniors Jenna Baker (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) and Giana Guerra (Lansing/Waverly) earned an 8-6 pro-set victory at No. 2 doubles.
Olivet returns to the courts tomorrow morning with an 11:30 a.m. match against Juniata (Pa.) College.
