Women’s tennis team opens MIAA play with 8-1 loss at Hope
The women’s tennis team opened Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play with an 8-1 loss to Hope College today inside the DeWitt Center in Holland.
HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team opened Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play with an 8-1 loss to Hope College today inside the DeWitt Center in Holland.
The Comets' only point came at No. 1 doubles. The duo of sophomore Caitlin LaValley (Battle Creek/Pennfield) and junior Kelsey Singer (Brooklyn/Columbia Central) recorded an 8-3 pro-set win.
Olivet returns to the court Sunday, March 20, with two matches at the Lakeland Athletic Club. The Comets will play Calumet College-St. Joseph (Ind.) at 9 a.m., and Judson (Ill.) College at approximately 2 p.m.
