Women’s tennis team comes up short against Calvin, 8-1

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team was defeated by Calvin College, 8-1, today at the MSU Tennis Facility in East Lansing.

Junior Jordy Bergeron (Muskegon/Mona Shores) posted the Comets' only win at the No. 6 singles position. After losing the first set, 6-3, she rallied to win the second set 6-4, to force a match tiebreaker, which Bergeron won 10-7.

The Comets will play their final two regular season matches on the road. They will first travel to play MIAA co-leader Albion College Saturday at 1 p.m., and then wrap-up the season next Tuesday, April 19, at Trine (Ind.) University at 4 p.m. The MIAA Tournament will take place April 29-30 at Kalamazoo College.
