Women’s Tennis: Olivet downed at Alma, 8-1

ALMA, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Alma College this afternoon at the Superior Street Tennis Courts.

• The Scots earned wins in the three doubles pro-sets before winning the last five singles flights.

• At No. 1 singles, freshman Rylee Lewis rallied for a thrilling three-set victory. After losing the first set, 6-3, she bounced back to win the second 6-4 to force a match-tiebreaker, which she won 10-8.

• The Comets play three straight home matches this week, beginning tomorrow against Calvin University. The opening serve is at 4 p.m. from the Tom Kolassa Tennis Courts.
