Olivet loses close match at Concordia-Ann Arbor, 4-3

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's tennis team ended its fall schedule with a 4-3 loss to Concordia University-Ann Arbor this afternoon at the Racquet Club of Ann Arbor.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals swept the three doubles flights to pick-up the first team point. Olivet went ahead 2-1 with wins at No. 6 and No. 1 singles. Concordia tied the score with a win at No. 5 singles before the Comets took the lead back with a win at No. 4 singles. The Cardinals won the last two singles flights to post the come-from-behind win.
FOR THE COMETS
- Freshman Willow Evans had a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.
- Sophomore Rylee Lewis won both sets by 6-2 scores at No. 1 singles.
- Sophomore Kayden Alli recorded a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles.
- Sophomore Madison Golden lost the first set but bounced back to win the second set. Her opponent won the match tiebreaker.
UP NEXT
- The Comets will play the remainder of their schedule in the spring season. The first match is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, February 22, against Manchester (Ind.) University.
