UOlivet edged by Earlham, 4-3

RICHMOND, Ind. – The University of Olivet women's tennis team came up just short against non-conference foe Earlham (Ind.) College, 4-3, today at the Gene Hambrick Varsity Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Quakers swept the three doubles flights to earn the first team point.
• Earlham earned a forfeit win at No. 6 singles to go up 2-0. The Comets won the next three singles matches (No. 4, 3 and 5, to finish to take a 3-2 lead.
• The Quakers tied the match with a win at No. 1 singles and won the match with a win at No. 2 singles.

FOR THE COMETS

• Sophomore Kayden Alli posted a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
• Sophomore Madison Golden coasted to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles.
• Senior Amelia Guerra won a first-set tiebreaker, 8-6, and then won the second set, 6-4, at No. 5 singles.
