UOlivet stands sixth after day one of MIAA Championships
ANGOLA, Ind. – The University of Olivet women's indoor track and field is in sixth place standing after the first day of the 2026 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships.
The Comets have eight points. Calvin University is in first place with 75 points, followed by Trine University (Ind.), 39; Hope College, 38.5; Adrian College, 28; Alma College, 23.5; and Albion College, 15. Kalamazoo is a point behind Olivet.
Sophomore Kenzie Gray finished third in the weight throw (47 feet, 11-1/4 inches). The mark moves her up to No. 2 on the UOlivet all-time top 10 lost. Sophomore Brooke Jankwietz moved into the Top 10 list in the weight throw with the 10th-best performance at 41 feet, 8-3/4 inches.
The Comets' other two points came via the distance medley relay team of freshman Landry Gomez, junior Aubrey Connelly, freshman Avery Lopez and freshman Abby Dice. Their time is the eight-best in UOlivet history at 14:19.48.
Tomorrow's final day of competition gets under way at 11 a.m.
