Six Olivet College Student-Athletes Named to the 2002 MIAA Coaches Honorable Mention Team
Six Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2002 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Coaches Honorable Mention Team. They were chosen to represent the MIAA by the coaches in the league.
OLIVET, MI. -- Six Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2002 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Coaches Honorable Mention Team. They were chosen to represent the MIAA by the coaches in the league.
Junior Jole Wells (Lapeer West High School), sophomore Josh Toussaint (Lansing Sexton High School) and freshman Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc High School) were selected to the men's soccer team.
Wells, who was named the team's Most Valuable Player, played in every game this year for the Comets. He ended the season with three goals and three assists for nine points. Toussaint was second on the team with 12 points on six goals. Pringle had 11 points, including a team-high nine assists.
Sophomore Jamie Stenz (Alpena High School) and freshman Samantha Dyke (Hudsonville High School) were named to the women's soccer team. Both started for the Lady Comet defense.
Junior Erin Graham (Alpena High School) earned All-MIAA honors after her first season on the volleyball team at Olivet. She led the Lady Comets with 278 kills and a .228 hitting percentage. Graham also had 66 blocks, including 37 solo blocks.
