Volleyball team defeated by Rochester in five games
The Olivet College volleyball team was defeated by non-conference foe Rochester College in five games (18-30, 30-21, 27-30, 30-28, 15-13) tonight at the Upton Center in Olivet.

Recording double digit kills for the Comets were sophomores Mackenzie Heator (Union City) and Kim Travis (Shepherd) with 15 and 13, respectively. Senior Kara Brinker (North Branch) along with freshmen Jennifer Malm (Bridgman) and Emily McClure (Athens) each finished with eight kills.
Senior Sarah Geasler (Laingsburg) contributed 47 set assists. Defensively, senior Julia Longman (Climax/Climax-Scotts) had a team-high 12 digs. Malm and sophomore Natalee Singleton (Sand Lake/Lakeview) were next with 10 digs a piece.
Olivet resumes Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play Saturday, Sept. 30, when it hosts Alma College at noon.
