The Olivet College volleyball team fell in three sets (25-9, 25-16, 25-21) at Saint Mary's (Ind.) College tonight at the Angela Athletic Facility in Notre Dame, Indiana.
The Comet front row was led by sophomore Ellen Schulz (Freeland) with nine kills and senior Mackenzie Heator (Union City) with six. Sophomore Jenessa Hicks (Union City) topped the team with 21 set assists, while senior Lindsey Tarrant (Metamora/Oxford) had a team-leading 16 digs. Senior Courtney Lewis (Battle Creek/St. Philip) also recorded double digits in digs with 10.
Olivet returns to action tomorrow and Saturday when it participates in the Defiance (Ohio) College Invitational. Tomorrow, the Comets will play Concordia University at 1 p.m., and Dominican (Ill.) University at 5 p.m. On Saturday, they will play the host Yellow Jackets at 11 a.m., followed by another match at either 1 or 3 p.m.
