Volleyball team turned back by Alma in three sets
The Olivet College volleyball team suffered a three-set loss to Alma College tonight in a MIAA match at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Scots won by scores of 25-21, 25-12 and 25-11.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College volleyball team suffered a three-set loss to Alma College tonight in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Scots won by scores of 25-21, 25-12 and 25-11.
Olivet was led by sophomores Megan VanderVlucht (McBain) and Tina Westendorp (Nashville/Maple Valley), who each recorded eight kills. Freshman Taylor Pringle (Haslett) collected 12 set assists. Defensively, sophomore Kaitlyn Salhaney (Caledonia/East Kentwood) topped the defense with 14 digs.
The Comets will wrap-up their season with two matches later this week. On Friday, they travel to play Trine University at 6:30 p.m., and on Saturday, they host Hope College at 6 p.m.
