FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College senior Drue Mullin has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Specialist of the Week for women's volleyball.
In the Comets' only match last week, a four-set victory over Kalamazoo College, Mullin had a match-high 25 digs. She also served four of Olivet's 15 aces to go along with five set assists. For the season, Mullin tops the team with 346 digs and 34 aces.
"I am really happy for Drue," said Olivet head coach Megan Merchant. "She is a fierce competitor and her unwillingness to let the ball hit the floor has been great this season. Drue has also improved her serving this year, which has helped take her game to the next level."
Mullin and the Comets return to the court tomorrow night when they are on the road to play Adrian College. First serve at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center is 6:30 p.m.
