Cary voted MIAA Specialist of the Week
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – The University of Olivet senior Jaydn Cary has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Specialist of the Week for women's volleyball.
Cary helped the Comets win their first two MIAA matches, defeating Adrian College in three sets and Kalamazoo College in four sets. Playing at the libero position, she totaled 42 digs over seven sets (6.0 average). Cary had 15 digs against Adrian and 27 against Kalamazoo.
"I am extremely proud of Jaydn," said Olivet head coach Jenessa Neal. "She is the anchor of our defense and played a huge part in our two wins. Recording 42 digs over two matches is a testament to Jaydn's hustle, hard work and leadership on and off the court."
The Comets travel to play Albion College on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.
