Cross country teams run at MIAA Jamboree
The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams competed today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree hosted by Hope College on a course at the Ridge Point Community Church in Holland.
The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams competed today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree hosted by Hope College on a course at the Ridge Point Community Church in Holland.
Three Comet runners posted lifetime personal best times for their respective distances. On the women's side, juniors Rachel Strelecki (Sterling/Standish-Sterling High School) and Andrea Mroczek (Marlette High School) recorded times of 21:04 and 21:27, respectively on the 5K course. On the men's side, sophomore Derrick Bean (Quincy High School) had a time of 29:44 on the 8K course.
The teams will next travel to compete at the Lansing Community College Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 2.
