Women’s cross country team finishes in ninth-place at MIAA Championships
The Olivet College women’s cross country team finished in ninth-place at the 2011 MIAA Championships. Alma College hosted the race at the Pine River Country Club.
ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College women's cross country team finished in ninth-place at the 2011 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships. Alma College hosted the race at the Pine River Country Club.
Freshman Hayley Drummond (Williamston) was the Comets' top finisher, as she completed the 6K course in 26:33. Freshman Lane Duckworth (Bellevue) was next in 26:59. Seniors Crystal Ramon (Marshall), Brittany Marshall (Canton, Ga./Woodstock) and Carly Olson-Guggemos (DeWitt/ Homeschooled) were the next Olivet finishers in 27:51, 28:40 and 29:15, respectively.
Olivet returns to action in two weeks, Nov. 12, when it runs at the 2011 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional, which will be hosted by Oberlin (Ohio) College.
