Women’s cross country team opens season with home meet against Trine
The Olivet College women’s cross country team opened the 2012 season by hosting Trine (Ind.) University for a dual meet tonight at the Olivet Golf Club in Olivet.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's cross country team opened the 2012 season by hosting Trine (Ind.) University for a dual meet tonight at the Olivet Golf Club in Olivet.
Freshman Danielle Marsh (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was the Comets' best finisher, as she placed eighth and covered the 5K course in 24:23.7. Freshman Charlene MacKenzie (Albion) was right behind her, finishing in 24:34.1. Senior Crystal Ramon (Marshall) completed the race in 24:51.1.
Olivet returns to competition next Saturday, Sept. 8, when they run at the Calvin Knight Invite. The women's 5K race starts at 10 a.m.
