Cross country teams run at Loyola Lakefront Invitational
The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams competed this morning at the Loyola Lakefront Invitaitonal.
CHICAGO, Ill. – The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams competed this morning at the Loyola Lakefront Invitaitonal.
The Comet men were led by freshman Austin Thimler-Coffman (Tekonsha/Union City), who completed the 8K race in 27:49. Senior Tom Sobleskey (Olivet) finished in 30:14, followed by freshman Tyler Britten (Mendon) in 30:32 and sophomore Andrew Benkovsky (Eaton Rapids) in 30:55.
The Olivet women were led by sophomore Lane Duckworth (Bellevue), as she covered the 5K race in 23:03, and senior Crystal Ramon (Marshall) was only six seconds behind her in 23:09.. Freshman Danielle Marsh (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was next in 24:07, followed by freshman Courtney Reed (Battle Creek/Lakeview) in 24:15 and sophomore Hayley Drummond (Williamston) in 24:42.
The Comets will next run in two weeks, Oct. 13, at the Manchester (Ind.) University Invitational, with the men's 8K race starting at 11 a.m.
