Men’s and women’s cross country teams run at NCAA Great Lakes Regional
The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the 2013 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet, which was hosted by Calvin College and held at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids. The men's team was 30th, while the women were 32nd.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the 2013 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet, which was hosted by Calvin College and held at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids. The men's team was 30th, while the women were 32nd.
For the men, junior Jalen Weaver (Mendon) paced the Comets, as he covered the 8K course in 27:26.9. Sophomore Greg Lutzke (Williamston) was not far behind in 27:35.7. Freshman Blake Wilson (Battle Creek/Lakeview) finished in 28:03.1, followed by junior Andrew Benkovsky (Eaton Rapids) at 28:12.
For the women, sophomore Brittany Hayes (Battle Creek/Lakeview) led the Comets, as she completed the 6K course in 25:33.5. Senior Anna Krausz (Lyons/Portland) finished in 26:17.3, followed by freshman Jacklyn Yates (Fowlerville/Hesperia) at 26:27.8 and senior Rachael Wagner (Clinton Twp./Fraser) at 27:17.1.
