A school record 133 Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll for 2015-16.
Eleven Olivet College teams have earned the 2015-16 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Team GPA award.
Olivet College junior Allyson Schultz has earned 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America® Division III Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country honors. She is a second-team selection.
Olivet College junior Allyson Schultz has been named to the 2015-16 CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Cross Country/Track & Field Team. She is now eligible to earn Academic All-America honors which will be announced next Monday.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams have earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. In addition, junior Allyson Schultz was named USTFCCA All-Academic team.
The Olivet College women’s cross country team ended its season with a 29th-place finish this morning at the 2015 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet, held at the Lavern Gibson Championships Course in Terra Haute, Indiana.
The Olivet College women’s cross country team finished in ninth-place at the 2015 MIAA Championships. In the overall league standings, the Comets tied for eighth-place. Highlighting the meet was Allyson Schultz who earned second-team All-MIAA honors.
All except two runners set personal-best times today, as the Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams ran today at the 2015 Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin (Ohio) College. The men had 620 points to place 23rd of 32 teams. The women totaled 695 points to finish 25th of 29 teams.

The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams ran this morning at the Calvin College Knight Invitational. The races were at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids. The Comet men placed 19th of 28 teams, while the women were 24th.
Running a 5K for the first time in school history, junior Allyson Schultz was the first runner to cross the finish line. The Olivet College women’s cross country team hosted Albion College and Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College for a unscored meet today at the Turkeyville Farm in Marshall.
