Women’s Cross Country: Peters places 11th, Olivet finishes fifth at Knight Invite

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Led by junior Abbey Peters, The University of Olivet women's cross country team placed fifth today at the Knight Invite, hosted by Calvin University, and run at South Christian High School.

• Location: South Christian High School; Grand Rapids, Michigan
• UO Team: 5th of 6 (139 points)
• Top UO Individual: Abbey Peters, 11th of 90

• Peters covered the 5K course in a personal-best 5K time of 19 minutes and 32 seconds. The performance was 11th of 90 runners in the race.
• Sophomore Sarah Grove also ran a lifetime best, stopping the clock at 20 minutes and 21 seconds to place 29th.
• Senior Allyson Stevens completed the race in personal best at 20 minutes and 56 seconds.
• Freshman Aaliyah Cota had a time of 21 minutes and 2 seconds.
• Senior Tonya Tepin finished with a lifetime best mark of 22 minutes and 3 seconds.

• Olivet is off until Saturday, October 14, when it participates in the Muskegon Community College Jayhawk Invitational. The race takes place at the University Park Golf Course in Muskegon.
