Women’s Cross Country: Grove posts third-best time in school history, Olivet finishes ninth at MIAA Championship

HOLLAND, Mich. – Led by sophomore Sarah Grove, The University of Olivet women's cross country team placed ninth at the 2023 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship, hosted by Hope College and ran at Three Fires Golf Club.

• Location: Three Fires Golf Club; Holland, Michigan
• UO Team: 9th of 9 (238 points)
• Top UO Individual: Sarah Grove, 41st of 139

• Calvin University and Hope College shared the MIAA title with 33 points each.
• The Comets totaled 238 points.

• Grove ran the 6K race in a time of 23:40.6, which ranks third all-time at Olivet. The personal-best time placed her 41st of 139 runners in the race.
• Junior Abbey Peters covered the course in 24:17.4, just six seconds slower than her career-best time.
• Senior Allyson Stevens had a lifetime best mark of 25:14.7.
• Freshman Aaliyah Cota finished in 26:24.3.
• Sophomore Jamie Stiver posted a personal-best time of 27:14.1.

• Olivet runs at the 2023 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional on Saturday, November 11, at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton, Ohio.
