Fifteen Olivet College football players have been named to the 2002 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Football Teams. Headlining the list is senior defensive back Travis Lehman (Lake Odessa/ Lakewood High School), who was voted as the MIAA Most Valuable Defensive Player.
Under first-year head coach Irv Sigler, the Olivet College football team rallied from an early third quarter deficit to defeat Wisconsin Lutheran College today, 43-29, at Griswold Field. Olivet also secures its first winning season since 1998 and only the third in the last 25 years.

Adrian drops into a tie for second place with Albion in the league standings.
The Olivet College football team snapped a 21-game losing skid in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association with a 49-34 win at Kalamazoo College today at Angell Field in Kalamazoo. With the win, the Comets even their record at 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the MIAA. It also marks the first MIAA victory for the Comet seniors.
