The Olivet College women's basketball team fell to the host Skylights, 73-41, tonight in the opening round of the Montana State University-Northern AmericInn Classic in Harvre, Mt. The Comets will play Carroll (Mt.) College tomorrow at 11 a.m. MT.
Olivet was led in scoring by sophomore forward Gabrielle Federau (Okemos), who came off the bench to score 10 points and grab seven rebounds. Senior Jaime Kowalczyk (Wyandotte/Roosevelt) was next with eight points. Sophomore Nykole Pfaff (Goodrich/Powers Catholic) dished out three assists.
Dana Ball led the Skylights with 18 points, followed by Jennie Lee and Ashley Trulock with 12 points a piece. Stacie Barker posted game-high honors in defensive rebounds (11), total rebounds (13) and blocks (eight).
Following tomorrow's game, Olivet will return to Michigan and begins preparations for its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener next Saturday against Adrian College. Tip-off from the Upton Center is 3 p.m.
