A school-record 171 Olivet College student-athletes have earned 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll honors.
Thirteen Olivet College athletic teams have garnered 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Team GPA honors. This honor is presented annually to the conference teams who have a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year.
The Olivet College women’s golf team posted the fourth-best cumulative grade point average (GPA) among all NCAA Division III programs for the 2019-20 academic year. For their accomplishment, the Comets have earned the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team award.
Seven Olivet College women’s golfers Nicole Deweyert, Taylor Elley, Crystal Lettinga, Logan McLane, Aynslee Myer, Erin Taylor and Rachel Webb have been named to the 2019-20 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. Olivet’s seven honorees are the most in school history for an academic year.
Nine Olivet College student-athletes were recently recognized by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education as a 2020 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar for their dedication to academics and athletics. Olivet’s honorees are Riley Bennett, Griffin Hammond, Liam Kinjorski, Kea Kunz, Karina Marin, Cameron Ramos, Yul Snell, Samantha Torres and Rachel Webb. Hammond, Kunz, Snell and Torres also earned this honor in 2019. To view the complete list of honorees, click here. Recent Olivet College graduate Nicole Deweyert has been selected to the 2020 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District VI Women’s At-Large team. She now advances to the 2020 CoSIDA NCAA Division III Academic All-America® ballot, where two at-large teams will be announced in June.
Seniors Jarod Bush and Nicole Deweyert are the recipients of the Olivet College Walter B. Sprandel and Linda Hoover awards for the 2019-20 academic year. These awards are presented annually to the top male and female senior student-athlete for his and her contributions to the college in athletic performance, exemplary conduct and high academic achievement.

The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in third-place at the 2019 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Fall Final. The 36-hole tournament took place at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek. With the performance, the Comets placed third in the final MIAA standings.

Senior Nicole Deweyert shared medalist honors, as the Olivet College women’s golf team walked away with a third-place finish at Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #4, played on the Comets’ home course, The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.
Senior Nicole Deweyert was the individual medalist to lead the Olivet College women’s golf team to a tie for third-place today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #3. Trine (Ind.) University was the host school, and the jamboree took place at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.
The Olivet College women’s golf team was the runner-up at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #2, played at the Hills of Lenawee Golf Club in Adrian.
The Olivet College women’s golf team was sixth at the 2019 Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic, hosted by DePauw (Ind.) University and at the Twin Bridges Golf Course in Danville, Indiana.
