UOlivet finishes sixth at Stateline Shootout

HARRISON, Ohio –The University of Olivet women's golf team finished sixth at the Stateline Shootout, hosted by Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) University and played at the Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Comets had a two-round total of 719 strokes, including a 357 in Saturday's first round.
• The host Lions claimed the top spot with a 631 (314-317).
• The tournament medalist was Mount St. Joseph's Debra Brogan with a 151 (74-77).

FOR THE COMETS

• Junior Ella LaMothe led Olivet with a 166 to finish ninth in the player standings. On Saturday, she shot a career-low 78.
• Junior Sedona Bonter and freshman Madison Cowhy carded matching 186s. Bonter had back-to-back 93s, while Cowhy had a 95 in the first round and 91 in the second round.
• Freshman Ryleigh Reese was a stroke behind at 187 (91-96).
• Freshman Emily Clark completed her two rounds in 199 strokes (109-90).

• The Comets compete Wednesday, April 9, at the Lourdes (Ohio) University Spring Invitational. The one-day, 18-hole event is at the Legacy Golf Club in Ottawa Lake.
