Ninety-two Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2007-08 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic (MIAA) Honor Roll.
The Olivet College wrestling team has finished as the runner-up in the annual academic championship in collegiate wrestling, which is sponsored by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). Olivet’s team grade point average (GPA) of 3.497 ranked second-best among 93 Division III schools.
Bolstered by junior Jason Brew’s (Sparta) runner-up finish at 157 pounds, the Olivet College wrestling team scored 29.5 points to finish in 11th-place at the 2008 NCAA Division III National Championships at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In the second round, they were shutout by No. 1 seed Wartburg (Iowa) College, 47-0. Olivet suffered a 19-16 loss to Johnson & Wales (R.I.) University in the second round of the consolation bracket.
The Olivet College wrestling team will face Buena Vista (Iowa) University in the first round of the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals Saturday, Jan. 12, at 9 a.m. The University of Northern Iowa is hosting the duals at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
