UOlivet cross country teams finish seventh at LCC Invitational

DELTA TWP., Mich. – The University of Olivet men's and women's cross country teams finished seventh today at the 2025 Lansing Community College Invitational. The races were at Grand Woods Park.
THE BASICS
- Location: Grand Woods Park; Lansing, Michigan
FOR THE MEN
- The Comet men totaled 178 points and placed ahead of Alma College, Cleary University, North Central Michigan College and Lake Michigan College. Davenport University took first place with 22 points.
- Junior Brenden Castillo was Olivet's first finisher, as he was 15th of 113 runners. He completed the 8K course in 27 minutes and 2.1 seconds.
- Sophomore Luke Senters finished 31st with a time of 28:17.8.
- Junior Sam Bruinsma and freshman Owen Lambarth were 48th and 49th with times of 29:38.3 and 29:43.0, respectively.
FOR THE WOMEN
- The Comet women had 153 points, just eight behind Davenport University and 20 behind Lawrence Tech.
- Freshman Landry Gomez finished 25th of 68 runners. She ran the 5K course in 22:01.0.
- Junior Aubrey Connelly was not far behind in 29th-place with a time of 22:37.0.
- Freshman Abby Dice placed 32nd with a time of 22:52.2.
- Senior Jamie Stiver posted the 38th-fastest time at 23:25.3.
