Olivet College sophomore running back Mick Faasen (Belding High School) has been named to the All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Football first-team. Freshman running back Kemp Luchie (Grand Rapids/Forest Hills Northern High School) and freshman offensive lineman Josh Van Laan (Caledonia/ South Christian High School) were selected to the second-team.

The Olivet College football team shut-out its second straight opponent today with a 56-0 victory at Manchester (Ind.) College at the Carl W. Burt Memorial Stadium. The Fighting Comets outgained the Spartans, 514-189 in total offense with six different players scoring a rushing touchdown.

In a battle of Wing-T offenses, the Olivet College football team prevailed with a 21-0 victory today at non-conference foe Ohio Wesleyan University. The Fighting Comets (2-0) carried the ball 63 times for 329 yards, and outgained the Battling Bishops, 351-280 in total offense.

The Olivet College football team used its Wing-T offense to perfection today and defeated Defiance (Ohio) College, 44-12, in its home opener at Griswold Field. In the game, Olivet had a single-game school record 89 rushing attempts for 562 yards, and outgained the Yellow Jackets, 588-252 in total offense.
