By virtue of a first-place finish today in the third qualifying round, the Olivet College women’s golf team has earned the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s (MIAA) automatic bid to the 2007 NCAA Division III National Championships. The El Campeon Golf Course at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., will host the national championships May 8-11.
The Olivet College women’s golf team took first-place today in the second round of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) playoff at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. The Comets carded a 350 team score to beat Tri-State (Ind.) University by one stroke. Albion College was third with a 354.

By virtue of a first-place finish today, the Olivet College women’s golf team has been crowned the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) champions. Individually, senior Kristy Latimer was named the MIAA Most Valuable Golfer. Joining her on the All-MIAA first-team are senior Stephanie Nicolai and sophomores Trisha McKim and Lindsay Pipkin. Junior Amanda Sanders earned second-team All-MIAA honors.

The Olivet College women’s golf team increased its lead in the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) seasonal standings by finishing in first-place today at the MIAA Jamboree #2. Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College hosted the jamboree at the Blackthorn Golf Course in South Bend.
