The Olivet College volleyball team bowed out of the 2009 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament with a three-set loss to No. 1 seed Hope College tonight at the DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland. The Flying Dutch, ranked No. 5 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll, won by scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-16, and will host the MIAA Tournament semifinals and finals this weekend.

The Olivet College volleyball team won a thrilling five-set match against Rochester College tonight at Oakland Christian High School in Auburn Hills. The Warriors, ranked No. 2 in the latest United States Collegiate Athletic Association poll, won the first set, 25-15. The Comets bounced back to win the second and third sets, 25-21 and 25-16, respectively. Rochester forced a deciding-set with a 25-20 win in the fourth set. The Olivet College volleyball team opened Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play tonight with a five-set come-from-behind victory over Adrian College at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. After losing the first two sets, 25-14 and 25-17, the Comets bounced back to win the third and fourth sets, 25-13 and 25-12, to force a match-deciding set. In the fifth set, Olivet scored the first six points and never looked back en route to a 15-8 win.
