FREELAND, Mich. – One hundred thirty-one (131) Olivet College student-athletes have made the grade and landed on the 2021-22 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll.
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Olivet College student-athletes Cortaveon Barnett and Alonzo Grigsby have been selected to the 2021 D3football.com All-Region 4 Team. Both are third-team selections.
FREELAND, Mich. – Nine Olivet College football players have been named to 2021 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) teams. Earning All-MIAA First Team honors were sophomore running back Cortaveon Barnett, junior offensive lineman Christopher Beck, senior defensive linemen Alonzo Grigsby and Ta’Mar Heart-Wilkins, and senior tight end Seth Young. All-MIAA Second Team selections were sophomore return specialist Akeem Benjamin, senior defensive lineman Jeylin Rogers, senior offensive lineman Andrew Sikkema and junior punter Brendan Sine.
FREELAND, Mich. – Junior Samuel Roose has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athlete of the Week for his performance in the football team’s 79-6 win over Finlandia University. He is being honored as the Special Teams Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College football team broke two single-game team and individual records, as the Comets steamrolled to a 79-6 victory over Finlandia University this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex. With the win, the Comets finish the 2021 season with a 7-3 overall record for their seventh winning season in the last nine seasons.
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College senior Alonzo Grigsby has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Player of the Week for his performances in the Olivet’s 25-28 win at Adrian College.
ADRIAN, Mich. – Sophomore Cortaveon Barnett accounted for 288 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Olivet College football team to a 35-28 win over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Adrian College this afternoon at Docking Stadium.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Olivet College senior defensive end Ta’Mar Heart-Wilkins has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware.
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College sophomore Cortaveon Barnett and senior Ta’Mar Heart-Wilkins have been named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athletes of the Week for their performances in the Comets’ 49-7 victory over Kalamazoo College. Barnett is the Offensive Athlete of the Week and Heart-Wilkins is the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College football team dropped a 38-17 decision to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College today at Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium.
